Alexander Local Schools is in need of substitute kitchen workers, Para Professionals, and Bus Drivers. Persons interested in either the kitchen or ParaPro positions can submit an email of interest to careers@alexanderschools.org. The Bus Driver positions are neede to cover routes and field trips as needed. Training is provided. You can call Dan Phillips in the Bus Garage at 740-698-8831 option 4 then 1. Training classes will be starting soon. Kitchen and ParaPro positions rate of pay is $16 / hour and Substitue Bus Drivers rate of pay is $18/hour.
Today we went into a brief working lockdown while the Sheriff's Department conducted a planned, routine K-9 sweep. These sweeps are conducted periodically to ensure our campus remains safe and drug-free. Thank you for your continued support and thank you to the Athens County Sheriff's office for their continued partnership.
Picture day for grades 6-12 will be held on Weds. 9/3. No money is due at the time of pictures. Forms will be made available in the office or orders can be made online.

Over the past three years, our newsletter has become quite popular with our Spartan families. I’m proud of how it has grown and of the connections it continues to foster within our community.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to offer a printed and mailed version of the spring edition. We are currently looking for a new business partner to handle the production of the newsletter. However, this change will not happen in time for the summer distribution. The Alexander High School Boys Soccer program is sponsoring the Spartan Performance Academy. This is open to all students currently enrolled in grades 1 through 7. Come train with our Boys High School Team to improve strength, speed, touch and ball control.
