The Junior High Student Council is hosting a spirit week for grades 6-8 this week. See the attached flyer. They will end the week with a Halloween themed dance on Friday during 8th period. The cost will be $1 and there will also be a photo booth for $1.

A few reminders to our Spartan families: 1) Parent- teacher conferences will be held this evening and again on October 16. Please contact the school office to schedule a conference time. 2) This is a friendly reminder that there will be no school this Friday, October 10. 3) Next Friday, October 17 marks the end of the quarter. There will be a two hour early release that day. With the end of the quarter approaching, please encourage your child to check their grades on Infinite Campus. Let's finish the first quarter strong!

Alexander Local Schools is in need of substitute kitchen workers, Para Professionals, and Bus Drivers. Persons interested in either the kitchen or ParaPro positions can submit an email of interest to careers@alexanderschools.org. The Bus Driver positions are neede to cover routes and field trips as needed. Training is provided. You can call Dan Phillips in the Bus Garage at 740-698-8831 option 4 then 1. Training classes will be starting soon. Kitchen and ParaPro positions rate of pay is $16 / hour and Substitue Bus Drivers rate of pay is $18/hour.
