To help celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTO wanted to provide a way for friends and families to show our appreciation for our wonderful teachers. Here are links for teachers who have set up an E-Wallet for this coming week's Book Fair. If you scan the QR code, it will take you to where you can load money directly into their account. The teacher can then use that money towards items at our book fair or online at Scholastic.

Alexander will once again be a pick-up location for the Athens County Children's Services Peanut Butter and Jelly Program. Here is the flyer with all of the dates and times.

Carnival is a free event for our Alexander Elementary families! This year, we are raffling off a select amount of special prizes for the children that attend. In order for your child to be entered into the raffle, they must have their game card (ticket) stamped with a certain amount of completed games on the card. Another way to earn ONE extra ticket into the drawing is by bringing in a non-perishable food item that will go directly to the elementary resource room. With summer break quickly approaching, we are hoping to stock up the resource room with food that can be sent home with students this summer. *bringing an item is NOT required to enter and enjoy the carnival. It is just an opportunity to donate to the resource room*

Good afternoon, playground supporters!
We have been chosen as one of the nonprofits for this year's Race for a Reason, an annual event put on by OhioHealth and Ohio University. The 5K starts at 9:45 and the 3K at 10 am this Saturday, April 26th.
This is a chance to get outdoors and walk or run in solidarity with many great causes! A third of the registration fee goes toward our playground if you choose our nonprofit as your "reason." The registration is $30 with a $4 processing fee.
We would love to see you all out there if you have the time and energy for it. There are only 3 more days to register.
To register, click on this link and then scroll down to the race you want.
https://raceroster.com/events/2025/98425/ohiohealth-race-for-a-reason
You will have to create a password and complete your personal contact info. When asked for the "Reason," scroll all the way to the bottom to find the Alexander Inclusive Playground (the nonprofits are not listed completely alphabetically).
Please spread the word if you know anyone who would like to participate! We thank you for your continued support.
