Tomorrow is Secret Santa day! There will be a variety of vendors in the elementary school gym selling gifts for under $10. Each grade will have the opportunity to shop for family and friends during their time slot. Forms were sent home today. Please fill those out and send them in tomorrow with cash if you’d like your child to participate!

The Spartan Cheer squad is hosting the "Lil Spartans Winter Dance Camp" January 12th through 15th from 5:30-7:00. Cost is $40. The kindergarten holiday program will take place tonight, December 16th, at 7:00 p.m. in the cafetorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for students, families, and guests.

With school closed today the Kindergarten Holiday Concert will be postponed until tomorrow evening, Tuesday the 16th. The concert will still begin at 7:00 pm.

Alexander Local School District will be closed for Monday, December 15th, 2025 due to weather conditions.

The Joe Burrow Foundation, in partnership with the Albany Ohio Festival and the Albany community, is offering FREE holiday dinners tomorrow. Please see the attached flyer for additional details.

We’re excited to celebrate our annual Parade of Costumes on Friday, October 31st at 12:15 p.m. Please see the attached flyer for more details and a few friendly reminders.


Repairs were completed today on the playground seesaw and the surrounding rubber surfacing. To allow everything to set properly, the contractor has advised that this area remain completely off-limits until Tuesday. We appreciate your help in keeping students away from this section to prevent any damage. Thank you for your cooperation!

Families: First quarter report cards were sent home with students today. We encourage you to take some time to review your child’s progress and celebrate their achievements. If you have any questions or would like to discuss their learning in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.

Alexander Local Schools is in need of substitute kitchen workers, Para Professionals, and Bus Drivers. Persons interested in either the kitchen or ParaPro positions can submit an email of interest to careers@alexanderschools.org. The Bus Driver positions are neede to cover routes and field trips as needed. Training is provided. You can call Dan Phillips in the Bus Garage at 740-698-8831 option 4 then 1. Training classes will be starting soon. Kitchen and ParaPro positions rate of pay is $16 / hour and Substitue Bus Drivers rate of pay is $18/hour.
