Picture Days are coming up September 3-5 starting in the JHHS and then to the Elementary. Grades 6-12 will be on the 3rd - (we take seniors pictures for records) Pre School - 2nd on the 4th and 3rd through 5th on the 5th.

The Kicks for Kids program, offered through Athens County Children Services School Outreach, is providing new shoes for students in need. If your child could benefit from this assistance, please contact our Outreach Worker, Kent Felts, at the elementary school. You can reach him at kent.felts@jfs.ohio.gov or by calling the school.
We have a Paraprofessional opening for the 2025-2026 school year. A paraprofessional licence or the ability to get one is required. Please submit your letter of interest to careers@alexanderschools.org with the Job title in the subject line. Deadline to apply: August 22nd, 2025.
Friday afternoon the gate for the pick up line will not be opened until 2:20 so that we can complete our first fire drill of the year.

Welcome back postcards with homeroom assignments for students in kindergarten through 5th grade will be mailed out tomorrow! Please begin checking your mailboxes toward the end of the week. Homeroom assignments will also be available to view in Infinite Campus starting Monday, August 11th.
Alexander Local Schools has 2 immediate openings for paraprofessionals for the coming 25-26 school year. Requirements: current paraprofessional license or ability to obtain a license. These positions will be open until suitable candidates are found. Submit your letter of interest to careers@alexanderschools.org and include the job title in the subject line.

We are at the final stages of the playground renovation for the second area at Alexander Local Schools. The surfacing crew is installing the pour-in-place rubber and also adding some additional rubber to the first area. This is why we are asking the community to stay off the ENTIRE playground. If anyone steps on the playground, they could ruin thousands and thousands of dollars of work. The rubber takes some time to install and then cure. People can still use the gated preschool/Kindergarten playground in the front of the school. Thank you for your cooperation, and please help us spread the word.
There will be a last chance sign-up for youth football this Thursday between 7 and 8 PM at the elementary shelter house.
Ohio State Testing results are available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal for currently enrolled students in grades 3 to 11 for the 2024-25 school year.
