Alexander schools would like to invite our families to participate in the Annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Project presented by Athens County Children Services. Beginning June 4th and running through July 30th each Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm, families in need can come to the front elementary parking lot and be given a week’s supply of peanut butter and jelly with bread while supplies last. This is a free program to help families offset the increased food costs over the summer. If you have any questions, you can call our Outreach worker Kent Felts at 740-592-3061. Dear Families,
We are extending the deadline for Community Service Learning Project submissions to this Thursday. Please encourage your child to submit their project, even if they may not qualify for the Super Spartan Award.

Community service is an important way for students to learn the value of giving back, helping others, and making a positive impact in our school and community. We would love the opportunity to recognize and celebrate all of the wonderful efforts our students are making.

Thank you for supporting your child in these meaningful experiences!

Alexander Elementary holds an annual change drive each year to raise money for a local organization while allowing students to participate in some fun competitions along the way. This year’s recipient is the Waterloo Fire Department in New Marshfield.

Students are welcome to bring in spare change each day to add to their classroom jars and help support this great cause. Throughout the week, students will also have the chance to participate in exciting activities and competitions, including opportunities to pie teachers in the face and dunk various staff members in a dunk tank at the end of the week!

We are excited to come together as a school community to support our local fire department while having a lot of fun in the process!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Early Childhood Education Program at Tri-County Career Center into our building to celebrate Read Across America Week!

Our preschool through second-grade students loved having these future educators visit their classrooms to share stories, build connections, and inspire a love of reading while also learning more about the exciting programs available at Tri-County.

Thank you to the Tri-County students and staff for taking the time to make this experience so special for our kids!
