Alexander Drama Club Presents "Frozen, The Musical" Performances are May 2nd at 6 PM, May 3rd at 2 PM, May 8th at 6 PM and May 9th at 4 PM on the stage in the Alexander Cafetorium.

We are excited to recognize one of our students as the winner of the Athens County Children Services Kidfest Design Contest! Kent Felts, our Athens County Children Services outreach worker, presented her with the award during lunch today.

Our next PTO meeting is this Thursday at 3:15! We will gather outside under the shelter house so our kids can play on the playground. If it's raining, we will move into the library. Hope to see you there!

Tonight is the annual Spartans in the Spotlight Variety Show in the cafetorium. Doors open at 6 and the show starts at 6:30. Please come out to support our brave performers as they showcase their talents! Admission is a donation of any size to the playground project.

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Early Childhood Education Program at Tri-County Career Center into our building to celebrate Read Across America Week!

Our preschool through second-grade students loved having these future educators visit their classrooms to share stories, build connections, and inspire a love of reading while also learning more about the exciting programs available at Tri-County.

Thank you to the Tri-County students and staff for taking the time to make this experience so special for our kids!

Please join us tomorrow for our monthly PTO meeting at 3:15 PM in the library. We would love to hear your ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week, the Spring Carnival, and other events happening during these last few months of school. Your input helps make these celebrations special for our students and staff. We hope to see you there!

Preschool registration will take place on March 18 and 19. If you have a child you would like to enroll in preschool at Alexander next year, please call the elementary office to schedule an appointment.

This is a reminder that tomorrow will be a 2 hour early dismissal for all students.

We are proud to celebrate two incredible university students who are gaining valuable experience right here in our building! The first is an Alexander graduate and current University of Rio Grande basketball player. Marlee Grinstead was recently named Player of the Year in her college conference and her team secured the conference championship as well! The second has had an amazing swimming season with Ohio University winning the MAC Championship and earning a spot at the NCAA Tournament! Congratulations to Casadie Dibetta! We are grateful to have such tremendous role models in our school community. Please help us congratulate these two outstanding student-athletes and future teachers!

The Rio Grande Womens Soccer team is sponsoring a one day youth soccer for girls in 3rd through 8th grade on April 26th. Registration is limited to 60 participants. The March Elementary PTO meeting has been rescheduled, and will now take place on Thursday March 12th at 3:15 in the library. We hope to see you there.
