The 2024-25 first semester is over.
Christmas concerts are done, the Jingle Ball was a success, and the staff/student volleyball match ended in a very narrow victory for the student volleyball team (mostly comprised of this year's volleyball team).
Spartan Nation showed up last night at the girls' basketball game against the Athens Bulldogs and won the Goodworks food drive with a whopping 1124 to 160 can victory! We thank our community for supporting a worthy cause and sparing our Athletic Director, Natalie Lucas, from getting a pie in the face!
Students and staff have put in a lot of hard work this semester, and our students have made great gains academically. We look forward to a little holiday break and wish our community the very best this season!

Spartan Nation - There is a canned food drive to benefit Goodworks being held in the lead up to tomorrow's Girls Basketball Contest versus The Athens Bulldogs. The winning school will be able to pie the losing teams AD 's face at the next contest January 30th in the Alley . Please support Goodworks and our AD, Mrs Lucas. We are low on donations, so if you are able, you can drop non perishable canned food items off at the HS office or the AD office during school tomorrow or bring items to the game.

Dear Alexander Local School District,
Earlier today, we went into lockdown due to an incident occurring off-campus. The situation did not involve any students or staff, and the lockdown was implemented as a precautionary measure.
This event served as a valuable test of our ability to implement elements of our safety and communication plans in a real-life scenario. It also provided an opportunity to identify ways to make these processes more efficient and effective.
I understand that such situations can cause stress for both students and staff, but I am proud of how we responded and took action.
Thank you for your continued support.
At this time the lockdown has been lifted. Alexander Local Schools will return to normal operations. Thank you for your patience.
Senior Students and Parents/Guardians - In October both Alexander HS and Tri-County seniors received information from Herff Jones regarding graduation essentials and other items. All students who are participating in Alexander's Graduation must order the cap, gown and tassel unit (you do not have to order any additional items or packages). Ordering is online only at this link. https://gradmidwest.com/product/cap-gown-tassel-unit/ We know it seems early but the price will go up next month. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact senior advisors, Mrs. Chimo (achimo@alexanderschools.org) or Mrs. Busch (bbusch@alexanderschools.org). Thank you!

Announcement...Out of an abundance of caution Alexander Local Schools is operating under a working lockdown due to a situation off campus. Everyone is safe. All students and staff will remain inside until the lockdown is lifted.
