The district is excited to present the following shows coming up. Monday Evening (15th) the kindergarten will present their annual show "It's a Kindergarten Christmas" (snow date will be Tuesday the 16th). Doors open at 6:30 PM show at 7 PM. Alexander Bands will be hosting their second concert on Wednesday the 17th at 6PM in the Cafeteria. Next weekend, the Alexander Drama Club will present "It Happened On Route 66" with shows Friday (19th) and Saturday (20th) evenings at 6 PM and a Sunday (21st) Matinee at 2 PM. On Saturday December 6th there will be a distribution of Holiday meals at the Albany Volunteer Fire department from 3-5pm. These boxes are being made available during the Christmas in the Village event and are sponsored by the Joe Burrow Foundation, Albany Ohio Festivals, and the Albany Community. The College Credit Plus (CCP) program allows students (grades 7-12) to earn college
and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from local
universities/colleges. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic
pursuits and a wide variety of options to college ready students. Taking a class through
the College Credit Plus program is free. There will be an information session on
December 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria for interested students and their
parents. In order to participate, students must attend the informational meeting, as well
as complete and turn in the required paperwork.

To allow everything to set properly, the contractor has advised that this area remain completely off-limits until Tuesday. Winter Sport Parent-Student Athlete Meeting
This meeting is mandatory for all student-athletes participating in winter sports and their parents/guardians. We will be covering important information regarding eligibility, OHSAA regulations, team expectations, and safety protocols for the upcoming season. A reminder to fifth grade parents that recorder money is due this Wednesday, September 24. Please send your recorder money in with the lower portion of the information sheet to your child’s teacher so recorders can be ordered. The recorder prices are $3.25 for one recorder or $6.20 if you want two recorders; one recorder to stay at school and one recorder at home to practice.

Alexander Local Schools is in need of substitute kitchen workers, Para Professionals, and Bus Drivers. Persons interested in either the kitchen or ParaPro positions can submit an email of interest to
careers@alexanderschools.org. The Bus Driver positions are neede to cover routes and field trips as needed. Training is provided. You can call Dan Phillips in the Bus Garage at 740-698-8831 option 4 then 1. Training classes will be starting soon. Kitchen and ParaPro positions rate of pay is $16 / hour and Substitue Bus Drivers rate of pay is $18/hour.
