The Spartans are teaming with The Joe Burrow Foundation and 740 Rescue Kitchen for a pasta drive! Attendees to the Homecoming Football game Friday 10/2 can donate some boxed pasta and drop it in a bin at the entrance. Lets all pitch in and help out to help others and DO GOOD! Earlier today we sent two notifications regarding the status of school due to flooding. After those notifications were sent, we learned that some people did not receive calls or text messages. We checked the information for people who we were aware of, and the data showed calls and texts were processed correctly even though we knew they were not received. We are working on this problem.
In the meantime, please check your Infinite Campus information and be certain that it is up to date and correct. If you did not receive a call please go to the bottom left side of our district website page https://www.alexanderschools.org/ and click SUPPORT. Put your information in that box and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, Alexander Local Schools has to change to CLOSED. Too many roads are either flooded or covered with debris.

Alexander Local Schools are teaming up with the 740 Rescue Kitchen and the Joe Burrow Foundation to provide frozen premade meals to students and families in need. If a family in our district could benefit from these meals please contact our ACCS School Outreach worker Kent Felts at 740-698-2531
Due to traffic concerns and for the safety of all, Tri-County students catching the TCCC bus must be dropped off and picked up in the HS student parking lot, which can be accessed near the Holzer building (first entrance). Those dropping off may park in the first row located closest to the JHHS office entrance. Students walking to and from the bus will need to use the sidewalk located in front of the building. Students should not cross through bus parking. In order to maintain the flow of traffic, and to keep everyone safe, please do not drop students off on Ayers Rd. or by parking at neighboring properties. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our priority and we greatly appreciate your cooperation.
Picture Day is coming to Alexander JHHS and Alexander Elementary. Pictures will be taken for all students in grades 6-12 on September 2nd, PS to 2nd on September 3rd and 3rd through 5th on September 4th.

Since the first day of school is always one of the busiest days of the year, please be patient with us as we kick off the new school year. Bus Riders: Please be ready at your bus stop 5-10 minutes earlier than your scheduled pick-up time. Car Riders: Please give yourselves extra time for drop-off and pick-up. Traffic will be very heavy, and student safety is our top priority. See you in the morning!
This is a message for Tri-County students. For Tuesday and Wednesday (8/18 and 8/19) only, buses will pick up and drop off students at three locations. New Marshfield Post Office at 6:50 a.m./ 3:10 p.m. Alexander JHHS 7:10 a.m./ 2:50 p.m. Shade Community Center 7:30 a.m./ 2:35 p.m.

The School Outreach Program through Athens County Children Services will be handing out free school supplies during our Open House in the elementary gym. Alexander Elementary Open House will be held on Monday August 17th from 5-7 pm. If you have any questions please reach out to our Outreach Worker Kent Felts.
Alexander Local School District is transitioning to a new routing system for student transportation. - Transfinder - The system is sending out an email to students' parents with their proposed morning and afternoon routes tomorrow. The system is also sending out an email to parents that don't have school transportation set up with instructions to contact the school to set it up if you need to. If you do not receive an email by Thursday please contact your school office or the transportation office. You can update your email in Infinite Campus if needed.
