Trick Or Treat So Kids Can Eat

The Alexander Interact Club (the teen version of the Rotary) has been very active this year.  Collectively, we have donated over 50 volunteer hours to several causes and plan on many more throughout the year.  This fall though, we will be asking for your help.  The Alexander Interact Club will be kicking off a project called Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat from October 21 through November 8.   As the incidence of food insecurity grow in our area, we would like to collect and donate food items to Alexander Elementary and Jr. High/High School Caring Closets, as well as food pantries in the local community so that when a food need occurs there will be resources available to help.  The club has set a goal of 1000 cans!  The only way we can reach that is for the wonderful people in our community to participate by donating.   We will be placing food donation boxes throughout the Freshman Forum classrooms and office in the high school as well as in the Elementary office and in each grade level area of the elementary school.  There will be a contest and prizes for the grade level and freshman forum class that donates the most.  Please, donate items from the list and follow our progress on Instagram at Alexander_Interact_Club.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Charla Johnson.
