Alexander Youth Climate Team Kicks off Year

The Alexander Youth Climate Team had their first event of the year on November 10th. We traveled to Sugarbush Farm in Athens, which is run by the Voss family, to take a tour of the sustainable farming and climate mitigation techniques in operation there. We saw native water-loving trees like willow and river birch planted to prevent erosion; culinary chestnut orchards that will provide food for generations, and we planted native ginseng to increase local biodiversity. It was a great day and we had a blast!
