Did you know we have approximately 10 children in our school who are afflicted with some kind of seizure disorder? One of those students is a Senior here at Alexander. He underwent brain surgery the middle of his sophomore year to try and alleviate the seizures. It helped...just slightly. Drew battles daily with this and has managed to keep a really good outlook and attitude. Smile Book Project got a hold of his story and wrote a book describing a little bit of his attitude and outlook on life. The book costs $15 to purchase and is available at the school library. It's a great book to share with your kids to help them get through struggles in life. We will be holding a book signing at the school library, Tuesday Nov. 13th from 5-7 pm. Come purchase a book that evening (or sooner), meet Drew and hear his story. Every penny of the $15.00 will go toward helping kids with epilepsy to go to camp.
