Kid Wizard, http://www.kidwizard.com/ This is a website with science related, online, educational games. I have not played these, but they do use the words magic, potions, and spells, so if you don’t like that you may want to steer clear of this one. They are simply using these as terms to identify science experiments (spells) and recipes (potions), not serious witchcraft.

Learn 4 Good http://www.learn4good.com/games/puzzle.htm This site has games and puzzles in many categories such as action, adventure, cars & racing, and sports. The pages I looked at had directions that would require a good reader.

meetmeatthecorner.org is a website that allows kids to take virtual field trips. It is user friendly and tested safe for kids.
