What's Going On?

Reading:

We are learning about the vowel sounds of ‘y’ made by the ‘long /e/’ and ‘long /i/.’ We are also learning more about compound words and main ideas.

 

Math:

We are starting chapter 11, learning how to add doubles, doubles plus and minus 1, adding 10, making 10 to add, and applying addition fact strategies.

 

Theme/Other:

We are continuing research on the bald eagle for our animal research project.

 

You will receive a newsletter made by your child at the end of every week titled “The Latest Moos” where your child will be telling you about his/her week. It includes the standards-what we’re focusing on learning, something he/she learned and enjoyed, spelling & math & oral reading scores, behavior, and something he/she is proud of and something he/she wants to work on. We hope you like it!
