This Week's PDSA

Meet "Smokey"

We have a special class pet!  He is a  chinchilla and his name is Smokey.  Chinchillas are related to rodents and are mostly nocturnal (meaning they come out at night).  Smokey likes to eat his food pellets, dried fruit and sweet grass hay.  We have found that he is also a "junk food chinchilla" because he seems to also like teddy grahams, pretzels and cereal.  Smokey likes to hide in his igloo all morning, but he is coming out in the afternoons to see the boys and girls.  He has a special interest in watching t.v. like most of the children in our class!

Bath Time Smokey!

Here is Smokey, our classroom pet chinchilla, taking a bath.  It is quite a sight to see as he rolls in his bath house ans throws sand everywhere!  He just loves to take a sand bath!!
