Spelling Bee

The middle school held their annual spelling bee on the morning of December 18.  The whole school was in attendance as 32 students tried to become the 2009-2010 spelling bee champion.  After 6 rounds of spelling, sixth grader, Katie McDonald was  named champion and sixth grader, Nathan Goss was the runner-up.  Both students will represent the middle school at the county spelling bee in February.

Honors Assembly Second Nine Weeks

On Janary 20, the middle school students gathered to honor those students who made the All A or A/B Honor Roll during the second grading period.  The name of each honoree was called and the individual students went to the front get their honor certificates.  All students received a round of applause for their achievement.  Mrs. Wingett awarded Spartan Pride winners for each grade as well.  Congratulations to all students who were honored.

Alexander Youth Baseball Registration

The Alexander Youth Baseball League will hold registration for new players and players moving from the 9-10 year old league to the 11-12 year old league until March 7th. Players may be registered by emailing Mark Chapman at mchapman@alexanderschools.org. Please include player’s name, address, date of birth, and telephone number. Registration may also be done by calling Mark Chapman at 698-2467.

The league will be taking registrations for both the 9-10 year old and the 11-12 year old league. The player’s age on April 30^th is that player’s baseball age for the 2010 season.

       This is only a registration and players will be called for an evaluation day scheduled on April 3^rd at the baseball fields on Rossetter Road behind the Dairy Queen.
