Ohio Association of Career Colleges & Schools Legislative Scholarship Program: Must have a "C" or better, must be nominated by a current member of the Ohio Legislature, & do not need to demonstrate financial need. Visit www.ohiocareercolleges.org for more information. Deadline: April 1, 2010.
IAAP Scholarship: Sponsored by the Athens Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals. Applicant should have career interest in secretarial studies. Deadline: March 10, 2010.
Athens Soil & Water Conservation District Scholarship: Applicant should have a long-term career interest in agriculture and /or natural resources. Deadline: March 26, 2010.

Abbott & Fenner Scholarship Program: Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of the website: www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm Full details are available on the site. Deadline is June 19, 2010.
KFC Colonel's Scholars Program: Visit: www.kfcscholars.org Applicant must have a 2.75 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale, be pursuing a bachelor's degree at an in-state college or university and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Avaiable from Dec. 1, 2009 through Feb. 10, 2010.
Hocking College District Scholars: For Hocking College only. Tuition assistance program for students graduating from an Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Perry, Pickaway, or Ross County high school. Applications are in the career center.
American Legion Auxiliary Past Presidents Parley - Nurses' Scholarship: Must be going into nursing & be an honorably discharged veteran or a spouse, son or daughter of a living, deceased, or disabled honorably discharged veteran. Deadline is May 1, 2010.
American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students: Applicant must be a member of The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion. Applicant must be returning to the classroom after some period of time in which his/her formal education was interrupted. Deadline:March 1, 2010.

Athens A.M. Rotary Craig Copeland Memorial Scholarship:Applicant should exemplify service above self along with a focus on proven academic achievement. Deadline: March 31, 2010.
American Electric Power (AEP): Scholarship Applications are avaiable in the career center. Students applying should have the completed application to the guidance office by Dec. 16, 2009 to allow for completion of required school information before Christmas break begins. Actual deadline is Dec. 31, 2009.
Buckey Rural Electric Co-op Scholarhip Program (local) & the Ohio Rural Electric Co-op Scholarship Program (state level): www.buckeyepower.com. Harry B. Crewson Scholarship: Sponsored by Ohio University Credit Union. OU Credit Union members and their children are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Kibble Foundation Scholarship: applications are in career center. Applicant must be accepted to one of the following: The Ohio State University, Ohio University, University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College, Marietta College, Hocking College or Washington State Community College. Recipients must also be U.S. citizens and graduate of a Meigs County High School, which includes residents of Columbia Townshop attending Alexander High School. Deadline: May 15, 2010.

Amvets Post 93, Auxiliary & Sons Scholarship: Must be a graduating senior at Alexander High School, complete the application in its entirety and include a paragraph on why you want to continue your education. Deadline: Return to the High School Guidance Office by April 15, 2010. This year's AMVETS Scholarships are given in memory of Nathan Coe, Adam Fitzgerald, and Adam Jolley.

James Kura Memorial Scholarship: Must have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, write an essay and be accepted by an accredited 4 year school. Deadline: February 19, 2010. (Sponsored by The Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers).

Jim Sheehan Memorial Scholarship: Must be a participating member of Christ of King Church of Athens, Ohio and have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Deadline: Completed applications must be returned to Brent & Cindy Hayes c/o Bedrock Tool Rental by April 30, 2010 at 3:00 PM.
The OCTA Gillogly Scholarship: Applications in career center and is for those who's parents or guardians are alumni of Alexander High School. Deadline: Postmarked no later than midnight April 1, 2010.
Ohio Newspapers Foundation 2009 Minority Scholarship: Applicant must be enrolled at an Ohio college or university, have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, be African American, Hispanic, Asian American or American Indian, complete an essay, and have two letters of recommendation from high school faculty members. Deadline: Postmarked by March 31, 2010.
John and Blanche Mussio Scholarship: For those attending the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Applications in the career center. Deadline: April 2, 2010.
