Third Grade Supplies List

Alexander Elementary School  3^rd Grade Supply List

2011-2012

 

Dear Families:

Below is a list of items your child will need for the start of 3^rd grade.

 

          2 large boxes of #2 pencils (NO mechanical pencils, please)

          2 large glue sticks (not white glue)

          2 packs of dry erase markers (4 pack)

          1 pair of Fiskars scissors

          1 box of 16 or 24 crayons (NO 64 packs, please)

          1 pack of 12 or 24 colored pencils

          1 pack of highlighters (4 pack)

          1 pencil box big enough to hold supplies

          1 box of tissues

 

The following items are NOT needed and will be sent home if brought to school. Please do NOT send:

• Trapper Keepers or ANY large 3 ring binders
• Individual pencil sharpeners
• Water bottles.

We are also concerned about the small amounts of space to store students' jackets and bags. The backpacks with the wheels will NOT fit into the students' spaces. Please DO NOT purchase this type of backpack.
